Susan comes to NSO with nearly 20 years of tax experience and more than 10 years of QuickBooks, small business consulting, and tax resolution experience. Susan truly enjoys working with small to mid-sized business owners. She takes every client’s matters at heart, and gives them the time and attention required to get them truly satisfied. Susan will work tirelessly to get any situation resolved with the IRS, and all other taxing authorities.

Susan studied engineering at colleges in three different states as she moved across the country with her husband in the 80’s and early 90’s.  After settling in the Indianapolis area in 1998, she began her tax career as a seasonal preparer in a “big box,” tax preparation store while working primarily as a stay-at-home mom.  In 2008, she went to work full time for a reputable Indianapolis CPA firm gaining valuable experience on the accounting, complex tax situations, and consulting side of small businesses.

Susan received her EA designation from the Internal Revenue Service in 2009.  Enrolled Agents (EAs) are federally-licensed tax practitioners who may represent taxpayers before the IRS when it comes to collections, audits and appeals. As authorized by the Department of Treasury’s Circular 230 regulations, EAs are granted unlimited practice rights to represent taxpayers before IRS and are authorized to advise, represent, and prepare tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates, trusts, and any entities with tax-reporting requirements. Enrolled agents are the only federally-licensed tax practitioners who specialize in taxation and have unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS. As such, Susan has a very vast knowledge of the tax code, and is a true taxation expert.
